Position Overview: The Ed Nichols Math Center Tutors work with the Math Coordinator within the Academic Success Center (ASC) to provide academic support devoted to mathematics for students at all levels.
The tutors, reporting to the Math Coordinator and the ASC Director, are key players in supporting the success and persistence of all students.
1. Teaching Excellence
- Scholarship Remain current within discipline, related occupational areas and technologies Acquire, maintain, and apply knowledge of current instructional methodologies and materials Service to Students Respect the rights of students and access to educational opportunities Support student learning of concepts related to mathematics. Service to the College and Community Participate in CRLA training. Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues; strengthen relationships between the college and the community through community outreach activities.
