The position is in Operations – TRS at OGI in the UAE.
The role focuses on workshop maintenance, repair, testing, preparation, and field support for tubular running services equipment.
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Inspect, service, perform preventive maintenance on, troubleshoot, and repair TRS equipment.
- Work on power tongs, backup tongs, hydraulic power units, control systems, torque monitoring equipment, elevators, slips, spiders, manual tongs, and handling tools.
- Dismantle, clean, inspect, repair, replace components, assemble, lubricate, and function-test equipment according to OEM procedures.
- Identify defective parts and report repair or replacement requirements to the Workshop Supervisor.
Preparation and Testing
- Prepare equipment and accessories for mobilization according to job requirements and approved equipment lists.
- Perform pre-job function tests, pressure tests, load-free operational checks, and other applicable tests.
- Verify equipment configuration, size range, dies, inserts, jaws, accessories, hoses, fittings, and safety devices before release.
- Ensure equipment is clean, lubricated, preserved, tagged, and ready for safe field operation.
