We have a career opportunity for an experienced transportation engineer to be part of an established service line at Benesch focused on enhancing transportation infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise or an interest in furthering their career focused on planning, engineering design, and construction of transportation infrastructure for public agencies. The successful candidate will prepare and review plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates related to a variety of transportation projects. Project Engineers also mentor and supervise the work of technical support personnel assigned to the project.

Developing detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design
Collaborating with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and outputs or to develop applications

Ability to develop task deliverables in a complete and timely manner
Experience working with Local and State public agency clients (Public Works, DOTs, etc.)
Proficient at using Microstation Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D design software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
