Transportation Dispatcher

Role Overview

Key Accountabilities

• Schedule and assign drivers and trucks based on delivery timelines, load requirements, and route efficiency.
• Monitor dispatch activities and adjust plans for delays, urgent requests, and operational changes.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse, customer service, and transportation teams to execute deliveries.
• Track trips through TMS and GPS systems and maintain dispatch and delivery records.
• Verify trip sheets, delivery notes, driver logs, and related documentation.
• Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and delivery performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transport regulations, and safety requirements.
• Report and escalate delays, incidents, resource shortages, and operational bottlenecks.
• Support shift handovers, vehicle maintenance coordination, and driver availability planning.

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is required.
• Two to five years of experience in dispatch coordination, trucking, or transportation operations is required.
• Proficiency in TMS or dispatch systems, GPS tracking, and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills are required.
• Knowledge of Saudi transport regulations, driver and vehicle compliance, and safety requirements is required.
• The ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic schedules is required.
