Working a variable shift schedule is a requirement of the role to ensure reliable transit service for the community every day. Shifts will include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and split shifts.

If you are not currently a City of Lethbridge employee, at the time an offer of employment is provided, you will be responsible for providing a copy of a five-year Commercial Driver’s Abstract. The Driver’s Abstract is to be obtained within 30 calendar days of the date of offer and applicants will be responsible for the cost of obtaining the Abstract. If you do not submit an Abstract, or the Abstract shows 6 or more demerits or includes any of the unacceptable driving items listed below, your offer of employment may be rescinded. The City of Lethbridge reserves the right to determine what is a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
An unacceptable driving record includes, but is not limited to:
A record of any suspension of Operator’s License within the preceding three years which is related to a driving offence.
An overall driving history that reflects poor driving behavior, will be determined at the discretion of the City.
Within the preceding three years any Criminal Code or Provincial driving conviction including:
Impaired Driving related offence
Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Criminal Flight from a Peace Officer
Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident
Drive while Disqualified/Prohibited
Careless Driving
