TRAINING MANAGER / TECHNICAL HEAD

Role Overview

Training and Technical Management

• Lead the technical and academic functions of the training centre.
• Ensure programs meet company, client, regulatory, and awarding-body requirements.
• Review and approve course materials, lesson plans, assessments, and practical activities.
• Develop new HSE and technical courses based on client and market requirements.
• Standardize trainer delivery and provide technical guidance and mentoring.

Accreditation and Quality

• Maintain accreditation requirements, technical records, trainer approvals, and audit evidence.
• Prepare accreditation applications and support surveillance and external audits.
• Close audit findings and corrective actions within required timelines.
• Maintain assessment integrity, examination controls, verification, and moderation.
• Review feedback and quality trends and implement corrective actions.

Trainer and Curriculum Management

• Recruit and technically evaluate trainers through interviews and demonstration assessments.
• Maintain a Trainer Competency Matrix and prepare development plans.
• Allocate trainers according to qualifications, approvals, and competency.
• Review course materials, presentations, trainer guides, learner handouts, and assessments.
• Lead curriculum review meetings and maintain curriculum records.

Client and Operations Support

• Conduct client training needs analysis and develop customized industrial training solutions.
• Support technical clarifications, quotations, proposals, client meetings, and technical complaints.
• Coordinate with operations on trainer allocation, equipment, practical arrangements, documentation, and certification compliance.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, occupational health and safety, fire and safety, or a related technical discipline.
• NEBOSH IGC or an equivalent recognized HSE qualification.
• Recognized Train-the-Trainer qualification.
• At least 8–10 years of HSE or technical experience and at least 5 years of training experience.
• Experience managing trainers, technical training programs, HSE training centres, or international awarding bodies.
• Strong understanding of UAE/GCC oil and gas, construction, and industrial sectors.

Required Skills

• Strong HSE technical knowledge, training, presentation, technical writing, and curriculum development skills.
• Experience with trainer competency assessment, audit and quality assurance, documentation, and record management.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent English communication, client management, problem-solving, and root-cause-analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Additional HSE qualifications and experience with international awarding or accreditation bodies are advantageous.
• Preferred examples include NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, ACTVET, ADNOC, LEEA, RTITB, PASMA, IPAF, NFPA, ISO auditing, and internal quality assurance.
• First aid, fire safety, H2S, work-at-height, and confined-space trainer qualifications are advantageous.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 7,000–10,000 per month.
