Training & Development Specialist

The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for maintaining the standards of the organization’s talent by providing comprehensive training at the start of employment and as needed throughout employment.

Their duties include working closely with department heads and supervisors to determine areas for employee improvement, developing training courses for new and existing employees and establishing methods to track employee performance after the completion of training.

• Facilitate training programs in person and virtually, ensuring effective learner engagement across modalities.
• Develop programs and curriculum for employees of the organization for orientation and in-job training in collaboration with the Training Team.
• Analyze the effectiveness of training and workshops for employees and develop appropriate modifications in collaboration with the Training Team.
• Collaborate with department leadership and the Training Team to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions for employees.
• Develop systems to monitor and ensure employees are performing their responsibilities according to the training.
• Ensure the compliance of the company’s employees to cooperate with standards and procedures during training sessions.
• Provide support and mentoring for new employees while conducting an evaluation and identifying sections where improvements are needed.
• Provide ongoing support and mentoring for employees.
• Provide feedback to leadership regarding employee growth and struggles.
• Provide guidance to staff to assist them in understanding clients’ needs/diagnoses and enhance therapeutic skills.
• Represent the agency in interagency meetings, based on state needs.
