Role Overview
Trainee Mechanical Design Engineer role supporting special-purpose machines, robotic systems, machined components, jigs, fixtures, and automation systems.
The position includes a 12-month training period for recent Mechanical Engineering graduates.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Hands-on solid modeling, strong Solid Edge proficiency, and a strong theoretical foundation in mechanical design are required.
- Strong learning and retention abilities are required.
- Up to one year of experience is suitable; one year of experience and formal solid-modeling training are preferred.
- Reliable commuting to or relocation to Pimpri, Pune, is required, and travel up to 25% is preferred.
Training Responsibilities
- Analyze design inputs, create concepts, and prepare bills of materials and costing sheets.
- Develop designs and calculations for structural members, gearboxes, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic components, and couplings.
- Create detailed 3D Solid Edge models and 2D manufacturing drawings with material, tolerance, heat-treatment, and surface-treatment details.
- Test assembled machines, verify performance, validate parameters, and implement improvements from customer or third-party inspections.
