About the Role
A confidential company in Sharjah seeks an experienced Traffic Diversion & Road Safety Supervisor to implement traffic diversion plans, manage road safety compliance, and coordinate site activities in accordance with UAE authority standards.

Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise traffic diversion works on highways, main roads, and urban roads
- Implement approved traffic management plans in accordance with authority requirements
- Coordinate daily with site teams, subcontractors, and stores for materials, equipment, and diversion setup
- Ensure full compliance with authority approved drawings and specifications
- Review and implement traffic diversion drawings and approvals from RTA, SRTA, DMT, ADM
- Ensure proper application of UAE Highway Safety Manual and local road safety regulations
- Monitor site safety compliance during all diversion activities and road works execution
- Supervise installation and maintenance of traffic control devices and safety systems
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement/store teams
- Ensure timely availability of diversion materials and safety equipment on site
- Supervise manpower allocation for diversion setup and removal
- Liaise with authorities during inspections and site approvals
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in traffic diversion or road safety supervision
- Experience working on highway or major infrastructure projects is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of UAE authority standards and approval processes
- Practical site based experience in traffic management implementation
- Strong practical site supervision background (not office only role)
- Excellent understanding of diversion sequencing and safety risks
- Ability to manage teams under tight schedules and live traffic conditions
- Good communication and coordination skills
- UAE Driving License preferred

Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Traffic Diversion & Road Safety Supervisor to join our project execution team.
- The ideal candidate will have strong hands on experience in implementing traffic diversion plans, managing road safety compliance, and coordinating site activities in accordance with UAE authority standards and highway safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise traffic diversion works on highways, main roads, and urban roads
- Implement approved traffic management plans in accordance with authority requirements
- Coordinate daily with site teams, subcontractors, and stores for materials, equipment, and diversion setup
- Ensure full compliance with authority approved drawings and specifications
- Review and implement traffic diversion drawings and approvals from RTA, SRTA, DMT, ADM

Equipment & Materials Experience Required
- Crash Cushions (Temporary & Permanent systems)
- TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuators)
- Traffic cones, barriers, and delineators
- Water filled barriers and concrete barriers
- Road signs and diversion signage systems
- Temporary road marking and reflective devices
- Traffic control lighting systems and warning devices
- Lane closure systems and diversion setups
Technical & Compliance Requirements
- Strong knowledge of authority permit processes and NOC requirements
- Experience ensuring compliance with approved traffic diversion drawings
- Understanding of UAE highway safety standards and construction zone safety requirements
- Ability to identify non compliance and implement corrective actions immediately
Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement/store teams
- Ensure timely availability of diversion materials and safety equipment on site
- Supervise manpower allocation for diversion setup and removal
- Liaise with authorities during inspections and site approvals
- Ensure smooth transition between phases of construction and traffic diversion changes
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in traffic diversion or road safety supervision
- Experience working on highway or major infrastructure projects is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of UAE authority standards and approval processes
- Practical site based experience in traffic management implementation
Preferred Candidate
