Traffic Engineering Intern (Part-Time)

Position Duties

• This position requires 100% on-site work. Works inside and outside in all kinds of weather; is exposed to accidents due to traffic hazards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge: Some knowledge of geographic location of city streets. Skills/Abilities: Ability to make simple line drawings; ability to operate or learn to operate calculator and computer; ability to read maps; ability to work outside for extended periods of time; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, fellow employees and the public; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is needed for generating reports based on data collection. Physical Requirements: Essential: Constantly sees and hears; frequently stands, sits, bends and lifts objects weighing up to 30 lbs. Education/Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent including courses in mathematics and computers, or sufficient background to acquire necessary experience rapidly; experience in the operation of personal computers desired.

• This position requires 100% on-site work. Must possess a valid Class C driver’s license with a good driving record. Other state valid Driver’s License equivalent to Texas Class C with a good driving record will be considered . Texas state law requires within 30 days of residency, you must possess a valid Texas driver’s license .
