About the Role
Alpaga Trading LLC seeks an experienced Trading Operations Manager to oversee operational execution of international commodity trading transactions. The role manages post-trade activities including contract administration, trade documentation, shipping coordination, and trade finance.

Responsibilities
- Manage the operational execution of international commodity trading transactions from contract signature to completion
- Work closely with Senior Traders to execute purchase and sales contracts efficiently and accurately
- Prepare, review, and issue contracts, addendums, invoices, debit notes, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates, and other trade documentation
- Monitor contract performance and ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled within agreed timelines
- Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, warehouses, inspection companies, fumigation companies, and customs brokers
- Liaise with banks regarding Letters of Credit (LC), Documentary Collections (CAD), Telegraphic Transfers (TT), and other trade finance instruments
- Monitor vessel nominations, shipment schedules, loading operations, discharge, and cargo delivery
- Ensure all shipping documents comply with contractual, banking, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate inspection activities with SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, Cotecna, and other inspection agencies
- Maintain accurate trade files and operational records for every transaction
- Track cargo movements and proactively resolve operational issues that could impact execution
- Support the commercial team in managing claims, shortages, quality disputes, delays, demurrage, and contractual amendments
Requirements
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in international commodity trading operations
- Proven experience handling agricultural commodities such as sugar, rice, soybeans, sesame, cashew nuts, pulses, coffee, cocoa, edible oils, or similar products
- Strong understanding of international shipping, logistics, and supply chain operations
- Extensive knowledge of international trade documentation
- Practical experience with Incoterms (FOB, CFR, CIF, FCA, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Letters of Credit (LC), Documentary Collections (CAD), TT payments, and trade finance
- Experience working with international banks, inspection companies, shipping lines, and freight forwarders
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Position Summary
- Alpaga Trading is seeking an experienced Trading Operations Manager to oversee the operational execution of international commodity trading transactions.
- The successful candidate will work alongside our Senior Traders to ensure the seamless execution of trades from contract conclusion through final payment and cargo delivery.

Qualifications

- Professional certifications in international trade or logistics are an advantage.
