Role Overview
The Trade Operations Specialist supports compliant cross-border trade activities for international material movements.
The position reports to the Associate Director - Trade Operations, APAC and India, and is based in Bengaluru.
Work Location
- The stated work location is hybrid.
- The role operates in a multi-country or international environment and may require occasional travel.
What You Will Do
- Execute assigned import, export, and transit activities under established procedures.
- Support end-to-end movement of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other materials.
- Prepare, validate, and maintain trade and customs documentation.
- Coordinate customs clearance with brokers and service providers.
- Support logistics hand-offs across transportation providers, customs, and destination sites.
- Monitor execution status and escalate exceptions, delays, and compliance risks.
- Monitor trade service provider performance and adherence to requirements.
- Maintain trade execution data in ERP and trade-related systems.
- Respond to stakeholder inquiries about execution status and documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities.
- Execute within defined authority limits and escalate issues under governance frameworks.
