We are currently seeking a Trade Cook to join the team on a full time basis.
Under the direction of the Support Services Management, the Trade Cook is responsible for overseeing and assisting in the preparation and presentation of resident meals , including short order, and special diet items , sweet and savoury mid meal items to deliver an exceptional food and beverage service for our residents .
Monitor the quality of meals at all stages of preparation and presentation to support excellence in meal choice and experience for our residents
Special celebratory theme cooking for the facility will also be required on a monthly basis
Assist with daily ordering, stock control and rotation to minimise waste and support cost control
Ensure completion auditing , monitoring and maintenance of all Food Safety documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with the Food safety Plan
Work area is kept clean as per Food Safety standards, kitchen hygiene and cleanliness standards are adhered too, including thorough kitchen cleaning and sanitizing
Daily ordering, daily audits as required, and reports compiled to Coordinator & Manager.
The classification for this position will be IN17 ($ 68,384 per annum pro rata)
Fulltime permanent, 76 hours per fortnight, 9.30am- 6.00pm

Food Safety Certificate HLTFSE001
Food Safety Supervisors Certificate HLTFSE005 & HLTFSE007
Certificate 111 or 1V Commercial Cookery or equivilant trade certificate
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
Previous experience in an Aged Care environment (desirable)
Current NDIS check, or willing to obtain
