Torch Operator - General Labor (Metals Recycling)

The General Labor team supports daily operations within a metals recycling and processing facility.

This role is responsible for handling, sorting, and processing scrap metal materials, with a primary focus on torch operation — cutting over-size material to customer and facility specifications for further preparation and shipping.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in an industrial setting with heavy materials and machinery.

• Sort, inspect, and separate scrap metal materials by type and grade
• Identify and remove contaminants or non-conforming materials
• Load and unload materials using hand tools or equipment
• Operate torches to cut over-size material to customer and facility specifications; assist with additional processing machinery
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Support inventory control and material tracking as needed
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
