Tooling Mold Maintenance Technician

SECTION OR DEPT: SEWS Components Division – Tooling Mold Maintenance

Position will assemble/disassemble molds following applicable work instructions and blueprints; perform overhauls ( preventative maintenance); parts fitting , shape mold components in accordance with training guidelines and understand parts mating position and function.

Measure dimensions using appropriate measuring devices.

Perform troubleshooting and utilize surface grinders, hand tools and or welding equipment.

• A ssemble/disassemble molds following applicable work instructions and blueprints.
• P erform Overhauls ( Preventative Maintenance ); Parts fitting and shape mold components in accordance with training guidelines and understand parts mating, position, and function.
• P erform quality assurance checks on all fabricated tooling.
• M aintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• P repare required documentation (i.e. tooling work orders, quality inspection reports, etc.).
• E nsure proper verbal/written communication with other departments in regard to mold activities.
• P erform all job duties per OSHA guidelines, safety rules, and housekeeping requirements and ensure other maintenance associates follow the proper guidelines, rules, and requirements.
• P erform other duties as assigned.

Two - year Machine Tool Technology degree /Maint enance degree , 1-3 years on the job experience with injection mold maint enance .

Must possess fine motor skills for handling delicate components and be able to perform frequent pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying; must possess excellent oral & written communications skills.

Must be willing to learn and be able to work at a fast pace.
