Third Class Engineer

Operate and maintain a high-pressure central steam plant. Carry out routine steam plant duties such as the testing of safety devices, testing for sufficient levels of water treatment, etc.

• Operate and maintain large scale HVAC systems including air handlers, chillers, pumps and emergency generators, all extensively integrated into our building automation system.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the operation and/or the design of these systems.

• What We’re Looking For
• A valid Ontario Third Class Operating Engineer Certificate is required. Preference will be given to candidates currently pursuing Second Class Engineer exams.

Consideration may be given to candidates who have achieved a valid Fourth-Class Engineer Certificate and have successfully completed Third Class exams.

The successful candidate must pass and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance.

Must have maintenance skills needed for the repair and maintenance of plants and buildings.

• The successful candidate will have knowledge of safe work practices and the ability to work together with contractors with the aim of having maintenance and repair tasks completed efficiently and safely.

Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate experience with HVAC systems, pneumatic controls, dampers, etc.
