Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing and commissioning of HV and EHV substations from 13.8kV to 380kV.
- Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning for power transformers, GIS and AIS switchgear, circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, CTs, and VTs/CVTs.
- Test protection and control panels, SCADA, and communication systems.
- Carry out protection relay testing and configuration, including secondary and primary injection tests.
- Execute transformer turns ratio, winding resistance, insulation resistance, and functional tests.
- Verify interlocks, control logic, and protection schemes.
- Support energization and synchronization activities and troubleshoot commissioning issues.
- Prepare commissioning procedures, test reports, punch lists, and daily, weekly, and final reports.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams during commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in HV substation testing and commissioning.
- Experience with AIS and GIS substations up to 132kV, 220kV, or 380kV.
