As A Testing & Commissioning Engineer
, your responsibilities will entail:
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the reliability and functionality of automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, optimize system performance, and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular system maintenance, including upgrades, backups, and configuration activities.
- Provide training and support to operations teams on the proper use and maintenance of automation systems.
- Document all processes, configurations, and changes related to automation systems.
- Preparation of progress and root cause analysis reports
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years working in the field of automation as PLC/RTU Programmer and commissioning preferably on Water and Wastewater projects, Oil & Gas, and Infrastructures.
- Experience in working with various PLC platforms and RTUs like Schneider, Rockwell Control & Compact Logix, Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500, PCS-7, WinCC SCADA, WinCC OA SCADA.
- Experience in working with open communication protocols used in automation like Modbus Serial, Modbus RTU BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQQT, DNP3, etc.
- Familiarity as well as control panel wirings and instrumentation.
- Ability to read documents and drawings related to control systems i.e., P&IDs, layouts, Control Panel Drawings, and able to troubleshoot wiring issues.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
