Testing and Commissioning Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commissioning plans and perform systematic equipment and system testing.
• Conduct pre-commissioning inspections, calibrate instruments, and identify deficiencies.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare commissioning reports and maintain test certificates, equipment certifications, and other records.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders and support operational handover through training and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of testing and commissioning experience on industrial systems, equipment, or infrastructure projects is required.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, commissioning procedures, quality assurance, and relevant industry standards is required.
• Experience with test equipment, calibration, data analysis, and technical troubleshooting is required.
• Understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems is required.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and coordination skills are required.
• Knowledge of safety standards and experience with project management tools are required.
• Familiarity with automation and control systems, relevant certifications, and large-scale projects is preferred.

Workplace

• The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with on-site commissioning activities supported by cross-functional teams.
• New hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
