Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues, the Lead Test Engineer, and Lab Administration team to schedule and manage testing
- Check the performance and calibration status of test equipment, ensuring compliance with required specifications
- Conduct M&E and Chemical testing independently, once competent
- Provide updates to the Lead Test Engineer/Lab Administration team on test progress, delays, or non compliances
- Assist in the maintenance and operation of the lab, lab equipment and testing processes
- Manage workload effectively and collaborate with colleagues to optimise lab resources
- Adhere to quality, safety, and legislative requirements within the lab
- Support internal and external audits, implementing corrective actions as needed
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent
- Proven experience in a testing laboratory or engineering environment
- Proficiency in using laboratory testing tools and instrumentation
- Experience with electric cable testing is desirable
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
- Proactive mindset with a strong work ethic

Job Summary
- BASEC, part of the Kiwa UK group, is seeking a Test Technician to join their team based in Dubai.
- In this role, you’ll perform Mechanical, Electrical (M&E), and Chemical testing within defined competencies and authorisations, ensuring we deliver first class quality testing services to our clients.
About The Role
