The Test Engineer will drive testing activities within a Digital, Data and Technology Services project or product.

The role ensures systems, configurations, packages, services and interfaces perform as specified, including security requirements.

Testing involves engineering, using and maintaining testware to measure and improve software quality.

Review requirements and specifications, define test conditions, and design test cases, scripts and plans.
Design and maintain automated test scripts, suites and test strategies, including exploratory testing.
Execute functional and non-functional tests, debug and refactor test code, and record outcomes against acceptance criteria.
Identify, raise and manage defects, issues and risks and report on test activities and results.
Support system integration and acceptance testing, evaluate business artefacts and identify process gaps.
Use WCAG 2.2 standards to test digital services and identify accessibility problems and opportunities.

ITIL qualification and knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Agile Scrum.
Experience with automated test scripts and suites, full-stack testing, defect management and test engineering from project initiation.
