Role Overview
Carrier is seeking a Test Engineer for its engineering laboratories in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The role supports testing, measurement, automation, and troubleshooting for commercial water-cooled and air-cooled chillers.
This is a hands-on laboratory position with a second-shift schedule from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Core Responsibilities
- Design tests, prepare test plans, establish technical readiness, and support automation.
- Operate instrumentation and control systems for chiller performance measurement and analysis.
- Resolve instrumentation and calibration issues and coordinate with vendors and process partners.
- Plan and execute laboratory certifications, including AHRI and UL activities.
- Track test data and KPIs and develop performance databases for trend analysis and prediction.
- Develop real-time chiller performance analysis and support troubleshooting of chillers and laboratory systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- At least 3 years of HVAC industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with flow, pressure, and temperature measurement sensors and systems related to HVAC operations.
