Role overview

Provide tennis instruction and recreation services to hotel guests, including children and adults.

The position is full time, non-management, and located at Al Corniche Street in Doha, Qatar.

Tennis instruction and guest services

  • Provide group and private tennis instruction to children and adults.
  • Schedule individual and group tennis lessons and clinics.
  • Make court reservations and arrange matches for guests without partners.
  • Play in tournaments when necessary.
  • Provide information about recreation facilities, activities, lessons, and equipment.
  • Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.

Court and equipment maintenance

  • Roll, brush, and line tennis courts to maintain proper playing conditions and appearance.
  • String tennis racquets, make minor repairs, and send racquets out for repair when necessary.

Service standards

  • Follow company policies and procedures and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and address requests according to company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, professional uniform and personal appearance and communicate professionally.
  • Develop positive working relationships and comply with quality assurance standards.

Preferred qualifications

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • At least three years of related work experience is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience is listed.

Required qualifications

  • Tennis instruction, tennis court maintenance, tennis equipment, and tennis racquet repair qualifications or training are required.
  • CPR certification and First Aid certification are required.
  • Any certification or training required by local and state agencies is required.

Physical qualifications

  • Reach, bend, twist, pull, stoop, grasp, turn, and manipulate objects.
  • Move, lift, or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds and stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Workplace

  • The role is performed on site at the hotel and is not remote.
