The Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Tender Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of tender processes from opportunity identification through submission and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tender management strategies aligned with organizational objectives, business development goals, and market opportunities.
  • Manage the complete tender lifecycle, including tender identification, qualification, preparation, submission, clarification, negotiation, and award processes.
  • Review tender documents, requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), invitations to tender (ITTs), and client specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with sales, business development, technical, finance, legal, procurement, operations, and project teams to prepare comprehensive tender submissions.
  • Develop tender plans, schedules, submission requirements, responsibility matrices, and internal deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage technical, commercial, financial, and contractual components of tender responses while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Lead tender reviews, approvals, quality checks, compliance assessments, and final submission processes.
  • Analyze market conditions, competitor activities, client requirements, and tender outcomes to improve future submissions.
  • Maintain tender databases, documentation libraries, templates, records, and reporting frameworks to improve efficiency.
  • Manage tender risks, clarifications, negotiations, and post submission activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor tender performance metrics, win rates, pipeline opportunities, and business development outcomes.
  • Prepare tender reports, dashboards, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as APMP, PMP, PRINCE2, CIPS, Contract Management, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience in tender management, bid management, proposal management, commercial management, procurement, or business development roles.
  • 2+ years of experience managing complex tenders, government contracts, enterprise proposals, or large scale submissions preferred.
  • Strong understanding of tender processes, procurement procedures, proposal development, contract requirements, and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience with tender management systems, CRM platforms, document management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, writing, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tender opportunities under strict deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
