Role Overview

  • We are looking for an experienced Temporary IT Helpdesk Support Specialist who can provide reliable day to day IT support for a 2 month vacation cover assignment.
  • This is a practical, user facing IT support role that combines end user IT support, helpdesk coordination, basic system administration support, basic network troubleshooting, employee onboarding and offboarding support, Microsoft 365 user support, ServiceNow ticket creation and follow up, and vendor

Key Responsibilities

  • End User IT Support: Provide day to day IT support to end users for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and standard office systems.
  • Helpdesk & Ticket Coordination: Create, update, and manage tickets in ServiceNow or similar ITSM/helpdesk tools.
  • System Administration Support: Assist in basic system administration activities for end user devices.
  • Employee Onboarding & Offboarding: Prepare IT assets for new joiners and assist with offboarding activities.
  • Microsoft 365 & Business Application Support: Provide basic support for Microsoft 365 services.
  • Basic Network & Device Troubleshooting: Perform basic network troubleshooting for end user connectivity issues.
  • Vendor, Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a coordination point between users, stakeholders, suppliers, vendors, and technical teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7 9 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, system administration, network support, or similar roles.
  • Strong English communication skills are mandatory.
  • Good understanding of Windows operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with laptop preparation, imaging, software installation, configuration, and device handover.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as LAN, Wi Fi, IP addressing, connectivity, printers, and troubleshooting.
