Role Description

  • The Telephone Operator Agent is a full time, on site role located in Jeddah, responsible for managing incoming and outgoing calls for guests and internal departments.
  • This role includes operating the hotel switchboard, promptly answering calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate team members, and providing accurate information about hotel services and facilities.
  • The Telephone Operator Agent records and relays messages, handles guest requests, and supports customer service by resolving basic issues or escalating them as needed.
  • Day to day tasks involve maintaining professional phone etiquette, updating contact lists, coordinating with front office and other hotel departments, and following Marriott standards for communication and guest satisfaction.
  • The role also involves adhering to safety and security procedures and supporting smooth communication flow throughout the hotel.

Qualifications

  • Strong phone etiquette and communication skills, with a clear, polite, and professional speaking manner.
  • Experience as a switchboard operator or with switchboard systems, including handling multiple lines efficiently.
  • Background in customer support or guest services, with the ability to manage inquiries and requests effectively.
  • Ability to work on site in Jeddah on a full time basis, including flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and hotel software; previous hospitality experience is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills or additional languages are highly beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality, customer service, or call center operations is a plus.
