Role Overview
This is a remote contract role for a Telecommunications Specialist supporting a client of Hire Feed.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems and infrastructure.
Compensation
- The stated payout is $20–$75 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize telecommunications networks, including VoIP, SIP, and PSTN systems.
- Integrate telecommunications solutions with existing IT infrastructure in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Monitor networks, perform diagnostics, and resolve issues to maintain reliability and minimize downtime.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, gateways, and other telecommunications hardware.
- Document network configurations, policies, and procedures for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in telecommunications engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in VoIP, SIP, and PSTN protocols and technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, routing, and switching.
- Experience with routers, switches, gateways, and other telecommunications hardware.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical collaboration.
