Telecommunications Specialist

Duties

• Serve as a Project Manager in the Project Management Office, responsible for planning, requirements, development, scheduling, budgeting, and executing assigned information technology (IT) and telecommunication projects.
• Make recommendations to senior level management and stakeholders regarding the need and frequency for interaction/participation in the projects.
• Responsible for providing technical guidance, coordination and control of highly complex communications programs and projects pertaining to the major communications networks.
• Analyze and resolve problems encountered during the installation phase which would cause a work stoppage or otherwise delay the completion of the project.
• Utilize statistical data accumulated during inspection operations to compile and prepare reports reflecting performance and workload accomplishments.
• Review inspection reports from contractors regarding recommendations for improvements.
• Prepare technical correspondence, as directed by the supervisor.
