We are currently looking for a
Senior Telecommunication Design Engineer
to join a leading engineering consultancy in Dubai.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in
telecom design, FTTH networks, and UAE telecom authority standards (Etisalat / du)
.
Key Responsibilities
- Design telecom infrastructure systems for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Prepare telecom network layouts including:
- Duct banks, manholes, and junction boxes
- Fiber optic networks and MMR rooms
- Ensure compliance with
- Etisalat and Du standards
- Handle authority submissions, approvals, and NOCs
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (roads, utilities, electrical, etc.)
- Review shop drawings and technical submittals
- Perform design calculations and prepare technical documentation
- Support ELV systems design (CCTV, Access Control, ITS, BMS interfaces)
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design and coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication / Electrical Engineering
- 10 years of experience in Telecom design
- Strong experience in infrastructure consultancy projects
- Hands-on experience with
- Etisalat / Du approvals and standards
- Good knowledge of:
- Fiber optic networks
- Telecom ducting systems
- ELV systems (CCTV, Access Control, ITS)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil 3D
- Strong coordination and communication skills
