Work Location
- The position is based in Thorold, Ontario.
- The current work model is hybrid, typically allowing one day per week from home, subject to operational and business requirements.
Job Summary
Provide second-tier technical support for the IT service desk and IT consultation to staff and elected officials.
Resolve and advise on PC, audiovisual, and telecommunications hardware and software issues.
Serve as the primary IT liaison for technology support issues involving internal and external partners and council members.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, problem resolution, configuration, installation, repair, and end-user training.
- Recommend solutions that meet customer needs and corporate standards.
- Support PC, audiovisual, telecommunications, mobile, and enterprise desktop technologies.
- Coordinate with internal departments, shared service partners, and council members on support issues.
- Support call centre configurations, phone queues, and extensions when required.
- Travel to regional locations and support changes, upgrades, and emergencies.
