About the Role
Connect 21 seeks an experienced Technology Program Manager to lead the planning and delivery of technology for a major international event. This project-based contract role requires proven experience delivering technology for mega-events such as World Expos, Olympic Games, or FIFA tournaments.

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of multiple technology workstreams across the full programme lifecycle, including design, procurement, implementation, testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and event time support.
- Manage the end to end delivery of integrated technology programmes across multiple venues and stakeholders.
- Coordinate specialist consultants, designers, contractors, technology vendors, and client representatives.
- Develop and maintain integrated programme schedules, milestones, and delivery plans.
- Review technical designs and ensure alignment across all technology disciplines.
- Support procurement activities, including technical specifications, tender evaluations, and vendor selection.
- Manage programme risks, issues, dependencies, and change control.
- Oversee Site Acceptance Testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and live event support.
- Monitor programme budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
- Provide regular executive level reporting on programme progress, risks, and key decisions.
- Ensure successful integration between all technology systems and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience delivering complex technology programmes
- Proven experience delivering technology for international mega events (e.g., World Expos, Olympic Games, FIFA tournaments, Formula 1, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, COP Conferences, international sporting events, major government summits)
- Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, systems integration, and event technology
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors
- Experience working with government authorities and international stakeholders
- Excellent programme management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related discipline
- PMP, PRINCE2, PMI ACP, or equivalent project management certification
- Experience delivering programmes exceeding USD 20 million in value
- Knowledge of international event operational readiness and venue technology integration

Mandatory Requirements
