TECHNO FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT L1(CONTRACT)

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to bridge client's functional and technical requirements at the module level by assisting in outlining technical specifications, performing basic configuration, and troubleshooting initial system issues.

Areas of Responsibility        Â

Requirement Gathering-Understand the functional requirements and assist in translating these into technical specifications.

Configuration and Customisation-"Assist in performing coding, configuration, and minor customisations as per defined design and development standards."

Technology Harmonisation-Support integration testing by validating interface behaviour and identifying basic issues.

Troubleshooting and optimisation-Support troubleshooting activities and help resolve basic technical issues related to performance or configuration of a specific module.

Documentation-Assist in preparing user documentation, configuration notes, and testing artefacts for a specific module.

JD:

5-8 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering / Server Administration.

Hands-on experience building, deploying, and administering:

Linux Servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)

Windows Servers (2016/2019/2022)

Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.

Strong Windows administration skills including:

Active Directory (ADDS)

Group Policy (GPMC)

DNS

DHCP

User and Access Management

Hands-on scripting experience in at least one of the following:

Bash / Shell Scripting

PowerShell

Python

Experience with server provisioning, patching, upgrades, hardening, and lifecycle management.

Good understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMware.

Preferred Skills

Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) administration and troubleshooting.

Azure Infrastructure administration.

Microsoft Intune.

Ansible or other automation tools.

Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.

CI/CD exposure.

Git/GitHub.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain Linux and Windows server environments.

Troubleshoot OS, performance, networking, storage, and application-related issues.

Develop and maintain automation scripts for operational efficiency.

Support WSL environments used by development and engineering teams.

Implement server patching, security remediation, and configuration management.

Partner with engineering and application teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and deployment procedures.

Candidate Profile

Strong engineering/build mindset rather than pure operations or service desk support.

Comfortable working across both Linux and Windows platforms.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving platform requirements.
