Job Purpose

  • The Troubleshooting Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing safe, effective, and high quality maintenance activities spanning electrical, electronics, mechanical, and utilities in full compliance with HSE standards.
  • This role is essential to improving machine efficiency, reducing downtime, and keeping equipment running smoothly to meet production targets.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned projects and maintenance schedules within agreed timelines and standards.
  • Diagnose malfunctions across Krones lines, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Support the assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical and mechanical systems across filling, labelling, and blow moulding areas.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently to improve overall machine performance and minimize production waste.
  • Investigate and identify root causes of major mechanical and electrical breakdowns and deliver timely remedies.
  • Provide hands on training and guidance to operators and maintenance technicians on automation systems.
  • Manage and maintain accurate Automation and MES documentation.
  • Adhere to all HSE, GMP, and food safety standards during every maintenance activity.
  • Ensure all plant and machinery are equipped with required interlocks and guarding.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of all maintenance activities.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands on maintenance experience within the beverage or water manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience operating and maintaining high speed 5 gallon and PET production lines, including filling, labelling, and blow moulding equipment from Krones, SIDEL, and SBO.
  • Solid working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), HMI systems, alarm diagnostics, and troubleshooting procedures.
