Role Description
The Technical Writer creates accurate, accessible, and well-structured documentation for products, systems, processes, and technical services.
The role transforms complex technical information into documentation that users, customers, developers, and internal teams can understand and apply.
Core Responsibilities
- Research technical information from subject matter experts, product teams, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Create user guides, product documentation, technical manuals, installation guides, FAQs, knowledge-base articles, API documentation, release notes, and standard operating procedures.
- Translate complex technical concepts into concise, user-friendly content.
- Review and edit documentation for accuracy, consistency, clarity, grammar, and technical correctness.
Documentation Management
- Organize documentation using appropriate structures, terminology, and information architecture.
- Maintain documentation standards, templates, style guides, and content libraries.
- Track updates and ensure documentation remains current as products and processes evolve.
- Support documentation planning for new products and features and identify gaps in existing materials.
