Contract Technical Support Specialist providing technical assistance to end users and maintaining IT systems.
The role resolves technical problems and helps minimise downtime for users across multiple locations.
Location and Work Arrangement
- Remote role with work-from-anywhere location stated in the description.
Compensation
- Payout is stated as $30-$55 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support by phone, email, or chat for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve operating system, application, computer, and peripheral problems.
- Escalate complex issues and track and document resolution progress.
- Assist with password resets, access provisioning, and other user account tasks.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and support software licensing compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in computer user support or a help desk role.
- Proficiency troubleshooting Windows, macOS, and common software applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical users.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Zendesk.
- Customer service orientation with responsiveness and clear communication.
