The role is a contract Technical Support Specialist position for one of Hire Feed's clients.
The position is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
The stated payout is $30–$55 per hour.
Role Overview
Provide technical assistance to end users and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Maintain IT systems and resolve technical problems to minimize user downtime.
The position supports a high-volume user base across multiple time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support by phone, email, or chat for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve operating system, application, peripheral, and computer problems.
- Escalate complex issues and document resolution progress.
- Manage password resets and access provisioning.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and software licensing compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Have at least two years of computer user support or help desk experience.
- Be proficient troubleshooting Windows, macOS, and common software applications.
- Explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
- Have experience using ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar ticketing systems.
- Demonstrate responsiveness, customer service orientation, and clear communication.
