About the Role
Emerdis Warehouse Automation seeks a Technical Support Resident Engineer for an on-site role in Riyadh. The engineer will provide frontline technical support for packaging automation systems, including diagnosing hardware and software issues, performing maintenance, and supporting customer users.

- Provide frontline technical support for packaging automation systems, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and integration issues
- Monitor system performance, perform preventative and corrective maintenance
- Log and escalate incidents, and coordinate with engineering teams for complex troubleshooting
- Support customer users on site, guiding them through system operation
- Document solutions and contribute to continuous improvement of system reliability and uptime
Requirements
- Strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for automation systems, industrial equipment, or similar technical environments
- Solid Analytical Skills to diagnose issues, interpret logs and performance data, and propose effective corrective actions
- Experience in Customer Support and Customer Service, including clear communication, expectation management, and issue follow up
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in engineering, IT, mechatronics, or a related technical field

Role Description
- The Technical Support Resident Engineer role is a full time, on site position based in Riyadh. The resident engineer will provide frontline technical support for packaging automation systems, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and integration issues.
- Day to day responsibilities include monitoring system performance, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, logging and escalating incidents, and coordinating with engineering teams for complex troubleshooting.
- The resident engineer will collaborate closely with Emerdis project and support teams to ensure stable operations and high service levels at the customer facility.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for automation systems, industrial equipment, or similar technical environments.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to diagnose issues, interpret logs and performance data, and propose effective corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess experience in Customer Support and Customer Service, including clear communication, expectation management, and issue follow up.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in engineering, IT, mechatronics, or a related technical field are beneficial.
- Experience with warehouse automation, industrial control systems, or logistics operations, along with the ability to work on site and in shift based schedules, is an advantage.
