Role overview
EMA Ship Management is seeking a Technical Superintendent based in Dubai to lead international technical operations.
The role focuses on vessel performance, maintenance, compliance, operational efficiency, and technical improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee managed vessel performance, maintenance, operational efficiency, safety, environmental compliance, and maritime regulations.
- Coordinate drydocking and repairs while monitoring vessel condition and performance.
- Manage maintenance and lifecycle cost budgets.
- Collaborate with technical, procurement, seafarer, and commercial teams.
- Lead improvement initiatives, inspections, audits, risk mitigation, and asset reliability efforts.
Candidate qualifications
- Chief Engineer or Second Engineer and Technical Superintendent experience in shipping companies.
- Hands-on marine asset technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance experience.
- Strong analytical and team management capabilities.
- Project management experience for drydocking, repairs, and technical upgrades.
- Experience in international ship management or maritime operations is preferred.
- A relevant marine engineering, naval architecture, or related technical degree is required.
- Professional maritime certifications are advantageous.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills are required.
