The responsibilities of the Technical Specialist, Sample Management are to oversee tasks completion by Sample Management Technicians Service group, to ensure that sample management activities are provided to the laboratories with quality and efficiency, and to ensure integrity of study samples and material at all time.
What You'll Do Here
Responsible for monitoring tasks conducted in the Sample Management Technicians Service group.
Report major issues to the supervisor in a timely matter.
Oversee and coach and train staff on study material integrity as well as their control, request and dispensation, and destruction of study material (excluding study samples).
Ensure procedures are followed properly by staff.
Responsible to find solutions and support for day-to-day issues
Ensure that assigned tasks to Sample Management Technicians Service are completed within timelines as defined by the Supervisor, or that tasks are re-assigned when needed.
Ensure organization and optimization of freezers storage space.
Oversee the destruction of all study materials, except study samples.
Oversee the reception and inventory of blank matrices.
Verify paperwork generated by the Sample Management Technicians Service group.
Conduct in-life verifications and provide results/follow-ups/suggestions for improvements following observations.
Provide coaching/mentoring to staff.
Provide training.
Responsible for the quality/execution of the daily work.
Ensure chain custody of study material in Watson LIMS.
Write and/or review user guides and training documents, as needed.
Participate in initiatives and focus groups to optimize processes and procedures.
Conduct all work in compliance with SOPs, GLPs, GCPs and observe all company guidelines and policies.

High school degree or higher in health sciences or in the medical and/or pharmaceutical fields
3 years of experience in the medical and/or pharmaceutical regulated fields.
Must possess knowledge of FDA-GLP, GCP and TPD regulations.
Very good knowledge in Watson LIMS,
MS-Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and Kanbanize.
Excellent communication skills in French and English.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Attentive to details.
