Job Summary

Core SAP Basis Skills

• Expert SAP Basis architecture and administration experience is required across large, complex, and hybrid SAP landscapes.
• Relevant SAP components include ECC, S/4HANA, BTP, BW, BW/4HANA, HANA, Fiori, Gateway, Web Dispatcher, PI/PO, Solution Manager, and Cloud ALM.
• The role requires expertise in upgrades, migrations, system copies, refreshes, kernel and support package lifecycles, add-on compatibility, transport strategy, and operations governance.
• The role requires HANA architecture knowledge covering backup and recovery, system replication, high availability, disaster recovery, scaling, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
• The role requires the ability to define monitoring, alerting, incident response, change governance, ITSM integration, operational dashboards, and service transition models.
• Strong stakeholder management, solution assurance, risk management, escalation leadership, and technical governance skills are required.

Cloud Transformation and Migration

• Define end-to-end SAP cloud migration and transformation strategies across RISE with SAP, SAP Cloud ERP Private, SAP-managed cloud, hyperscaler-hosted SAP, and private cloud models.
• Lead technical discovery and assessment covering landscape inventory, sizing, custom code impact, add-on compatibility, cloud readiness, migration risk, and downtime feasibility.
• Architect lift-and-shift, re-platforming, OS or database migration, DMO, system move, backup and restore, export and import, phased migration, and near-zero-downtime approaches.
• Define S/4HANA conversion strategies for Brownfield, Greenfield support, Selective Data Transition support, and hybrid transformation scenarios.
• Define BW and BW/4HANA conversion and migration architecture, including sizing, data volume management, housekeeping, and performance readiness.

Architecture and Operations

• Design HANA high availability and disaster recovery architecture, including RPO/RTO, backups, system replication, clustering, failover, failback, runbooks, and drills.
• Define the SAP BTP operating model, including account design, entitlements, connectivity, Cloud Connector placement, destinations, identity integration, role governance, audit, and monitoring.
• Define technical onboarding and support models for SAP SaaS services, including SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, SAC, Datasphere, IBP, and Integration Suite.
• Define SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, Focused Run, hyperscaler monitoring, and ITSM integration strategies for SAP operations.
• Own technical solution architecture for large migration, conversion, and transformation programs.
• Create reusable migration assets, templates, runbooks, reference architectures, automation patterns, and delivery playbooks.

Leadership and Delivery

• Lead architecture workshops, senior stakeholder discussions, solution defense, risk reviews, and technical governance meetings.
• Guide technical leads and engineering teams through design, build, mock migration, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and transition to operations.
• Support pre-sales, proposal responses, commercial estimation, transformation roadmaps, and executive-level solution presentations.

Additional Qualifications

• RISE with SAP or SAP Cloud ERP Private architecture and transition experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of the SAP ECS or SAP Private Cloud operating model is advantageous.
