Role overview
Own the technical integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance of an aerospace development program throughout its development lifecycle.
Serve as the primary technical focal point for the customer and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
The role combines aerospace engineering expertise, technical leadership, communication, and program management.
Customer and technical leadership
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for the customer and internally on the project or program.
- Lead technical reviews, design discussions, and issue resolution.
- Act as the technical authority with accountability for technical decisions and trade-offs.
- Lead and integrate all engineering disciplines involved in the scope of work.
- Approve major technical decisions and resolve cross-discipline technical issues and conflicts.
- Identify resource requirements for the project or program.
Engineering and risk management
- Lead the development of technical solutions from concept through detailed design.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements.
