Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Technical Program Manager, located any of our Tualatin, OR, Sparks, NV or Fremont, CA locations.
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) leads cross-functional programs to deploy and scale advanced manufacturing capabilities across global sites.
This role spans New Product Introduction (NPI), product development project management, volume readiness, and operational execution.
The TPM ensures strategic alignment and readiness across system integration, test infrastructure, orbital welding, electropolish, and applies 5M&E analysis to assess and close gaps.
The role requires strong program leadership, business case development, and executive-level communication to drive successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Manage end-to-end technical programs for manufacturing capability deployment, including NPI and product development initiatives.
- Volume Readiness: Ensure manufacturing sites are prepared to support ramp plans, including capacity modeling, equipment readiness, staffing, and process maturity.
- Manufacturing Readiness: Oversee installation and integration of systems such as orbital welding, electropolish, and test infrastructure across multiple sites.
- 5M&E Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of Man, Machine, Material, Method, Measurement, and Environment to ensure site readiness and process stability.
- Project Management: Develop and maintain Gantt charts, timelines, and resource plans to track progress and manage dependencies.
- Business Case Development: Build and present business cases to justify investments, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI, and strategic alignment.
- Operational Scope Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders to define operational scope, process flows, and equipment requirements.
- Execution Strategy: Develop and implement scalable execution strategies for capability rollout, including risk mitigation and change management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, supply chain, and site leadership.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare and deliver executive-level summaries, dashboards, and program updates to senior leadership.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure all deployments meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proven track record managing NPI and product development programs with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including system integration, test, welding, and surface treatment.
- Experience with multi-site deployments and global operations.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira) and Gantt chart development.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in cleanroom manufacturing, semiconductor, or high-purity systems.
- Familiarity with orbital welding standards and electropolish process controls.
- Hands-on experience conducting 5M&E assessments and driving operational improvements.
- Experience supporting volume readiness and ramp planning.
- PMP, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Strong analytical skills for business case modeling and executive reporting.
For candidates based in California: The pay range for this position is $131,500 to $223,600 per year.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
