Technical Program Manager III, Software Infrastructure, Google Cloud

Responsibilities

• Define, drive, and execute end-to-end technical programs, roadmaps, and delivery milestones for Google's safe deployment and release infrastructure.
• Partner closely with software engineering leads, product managers, Site Reliability Engineers, and customer teams to align technical roadmaps and manage critical dependencies.
• Establish clear program structures, milestone tracking, risk identification and mitigation strategies, and delivery cadences in complex, distributed environments.
• Design and monitor key adoption funnels, reliability indicators, and operational velocity metrics to track program health, measure business impact, and guide architectural priorities.
• Deliver concise, credible communications and executive-ready status updates for executive leadership, engineering partners, and user communities.

• Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience in program management. - Experience in evaluating, integrating, or leveraging AI technologies, tools, or automated processes for engineering execution and program velocity. - Experience in software development or infrastructure engineering. Preferred qualifications: - 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. - Experience collaborating with internal product, engineering, and large customer teams to drive cross-functional programs and roll out new technologies and solutions. - Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguous technical challenges and drive consensus. - Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and organizational boundaries. - Demonstrated capability to manage ambiguity and balance a broad range of technical, operational, and stakeholder factors when identifying problems, proposing solutions, and making decisions.
