Technical Program Manager II, Fiber Infrastructure, Cloud Networking

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform fiber characterization and acceptance testings to ensure fiber paths meet rigorous Google Acceptance Standards.
• Create, track, and update project data across internal systems and databases.
• Identify and investigate operational discrepancies and driving rectification efforts on a case-by-case basis.
• Acts as the primary operational link with external telecommunication vendors and internal teams to ensure physical connectivity is delivered on time and within specifications.

• Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience in program management. - Experience with vendor management. - Experience working with metropolitan/long haul fiber network delivery and ISP/OSP construction. Preferred qualifications: - 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. - Experience in telecommunications delivery and cloud network. - Experience with data center operations. - Deep understanding of fiber optics, leased wave deployments, and dark fiber.
