Role Description
- This is a full time, on site Writer role based in Gondia.
- The Writer will create clear, accurate, and structured documentation related to port, ship, and maritime HSE activities.
- Day to day responsibilities include drafting and updating SOPs, manuals, guidelines, and training materials.
- Translating technical and operational information from subject matter experts into accessible content.
- Ensuring consistency with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborating with HSE, operations, and maintenance teams to capture real time practices.
- Documenting machinery management procedures.
- Supporting communication materials for port security and chemical management.
- Reviewing and editing existing documents, maintaining version control.
- Helping standardize documentation across sites.
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and structured technical and operational content.
- Experience developing procedures, SOPs, manuals, and checklists, ideally in HSE, maritime, port, logistics, or industrial environments.
- Ability to research regulations, standards, and best practices, and to collaborate with technical experts to translate complex concepts into accessible documentation.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental principles, including hazard identification, risk assessment, incident reporting, and permit to work systems.
- Proficiency with common office and documentation tools and basic version control or document management practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Technical Writing, English, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
