Technical Manager - Building Material Testing

Role Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Building Material Testing Laboratory.
• Ensure tests and procedures comply with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Manage and mentor engineers and technicians and support continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance on testing concrete, steel, aggregates, cement, and other building materials.
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Liaise with clients to understand testing requirements and provide technical advice.
• Verify measurements, test results, and other data inputs for accuracy and consistency.
• Oversee detailed reports and presentations based on testing outcomes.
• Oversee maintenance, calibration, and procurement of testing equipment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is required.
• The role requires 10–12 years of experience in building material testing.
• The role requires 3–4 years of experience in a leadership position.
• Relevant certification in building material testing or quality assurance is preferred.
