Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for educational platforms, internal systems, and data services.
- Implement back-end components, write clean and efficient code, troubleshoot issues, and fix defects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and review existing systems.
- Optimize system performance, security, and reliability and document technical designs and code.
- Participate in code reviews, follow development best practices, and support continuous improvement of development processes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, software architecture, software development, and programming.
- Hands-on back-end web development experience with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and modern software design.
- Experience with version-control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and performance optimization for web-based systems.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours, and communicate with distributed teams.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is accepted.
- Educational technology or public-sector project experience is beneficial but not required.
