Role summary
This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in Golang, Python, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and scalable backend architecture.
The role drives critical technical decisions, mentors senior engineers, and provides architectural direction across engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Own the overall architecture and technical direction of backend systems and platforms.
- Design scalable, highly available, secure, and maintainable distributed systems and microservices.
- Define service architecture, APIs, data models, integration patterns, and technology standards.
- Balance scalability, performance, reliability, security, and cost in architecture and design decisions.
- Lead technical design and architecture reviews for major initiatives.
- Remain hands-on with Golang and Python on critical and technically complex components.
- Mentor senior engineers and provide architectural direction across engineering teams.
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend and distributed systems expertise.
- B.E. or B.Tech. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience as a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Technical Lead, or equivalent.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Golang and Python.
- Deep knowledge of system architecture, distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to drive architecture and technical decisions across multiple teams.
- Experience leading large-scale architecture modernization or technology transformation initiatives.
