Role Overview
Parsons is seeking a Technical Director for a major metro project.
The role provides technical leadership across civil works, rail systems, rolling stock, integration, and safety assurance.
The position may also act as Deputy Project Director on some rail projects.
Technical Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction across civil works and rail systems disciplines.
- Lead multidisciplinary design reviews and approvals of the Design and Build contractor's designs and technical submittals.
- Review civil works, rail systems, rolling stock, interface management, and systems and safety assurance.
- Oversee technical performance and progress of engineering services.
- Ensure design progress follows the project schedule and that civil and systems designs are coordinated and integrated.
- Ensure designs comply with employer and contract requirements, standards, and best practices.
- Chair high-level design reviews and lead Design Control Point gate reviews.
- Review engineering change requests and value engineering proposals, provide recommendations, and make technical decisions.
- Interface with client leadership, contractors, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Represent the Engineer's team at the highest technical level.
