Role Overview
The company is seeking a Technical & Asset Manager for Doha, Qatar.
The role leads six functions covering asset management, GIS, handover/takeover, IT/OT, innovation, and technical studies.
The position supports reliability, performance, digitalization, and continuous improvement of water and wastewater infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Optimize asset lifecycles, inventories, preventive maintenance, reliability, RCM, FMECA, and RCA.
- Manage sewer, stormwater, groundwater, and TSE network data, mapping, and operational information.
- Ensure readiness of new facilities through commissioning, documentation, training, spare parts, Maximo, and HSE preparation.
- Manage IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, SCADA, PLC/RTU, automation, telemetry, and instrumentation.
- Lead digital transformation, predictive maintenance, remote monitoring, energy efficiency, climate resilience, and sustainability initiatives.
- Conduct engineering studies, improvement proposals, technical-commercial offers, and operational defect resolution.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, surveyors, maintenance teams, and technical resources.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental, or related engineering is required.
- A master's degree is an advantage.
- At least 10–15 years of experience in asset management, infrastructure operations, or utilities is required, with water or wastewater experience.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, maintenance, GIS, IT/OT, and technical projects is required.
- Strong asset management, lifecycle planning, reliability engineering, and preventive maintenance knowledge is required.
- Good knowledge of GIS systems and spatial asset management is required.
- Commissioning, infrastructure handover/takeover, and technical documentation experience is required.
- Strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills are required.
- Fluent English is required; Arabic fluency is an advantage.
